Taskforce History

The North Texas Safe Sleep Taskforce was created in 2018 from the Dallas County Child Fatality Review Team (CFRT). Members of the CFRT came together to address the growing number of infant safe sleep deaths in the region. We are a collaboration of several area hospitals, non-profits and governmental agencies, including: Children's Health, Parkland Health System, Baylor Dallas, Medical City Dallas, Texas Health Dallas and Frisco, Methodist Dallas, University of North Texas, Family Compass, Mosiac Family Services, United Way Dallas, the Consumer Product Safety Commission, and the City of Dallas.
